About The Position

The Hopewell Inn is seeking a full-time, team-oriented General Manager. The ideal candidate is courteous and has excellent leadership and customer service skills. The role oversees restaurant operations, staff, inventory, reservations, deliveries, and closing procedures. The candidate must be willing to work weekdays, nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The position is performed in a restaurant environment, where noise is usually moderate to high. The role involves regularly handling or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing, as well as frequently standing and walking. Close, distance, and color vision and the ability to focus are required. Genesis Hospitality is part of Genesis Global Group and is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform all duties of the restaurant.
Monitor and maintain store inventory pars alongside the Executive Chef.
Maintain a very clean work environment.
Monitor day-to-day restaurant events.
Record deliveries, including paper and produce, and document any errors.
Coach and support new and existing staff members.
Oversee closing of the till and restaurant.
Make a weekly trip to the bank.
Oversee reservations and work with the Assistant Manager to ensure reservations are confirmed and prepared for.
Maintain temperature logs, waste sheets, and inventory sheets.
Ensure employees follow company policies and guidelines.
Maintain professionalism and set an example for all staff.
