The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including staffing, paperwork, cost and inventory controls, cash control, food management, customer relations, scheduling, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the crew, follows all policies and procedures, and expects the same standards from team members. The role may be offered without prior pizza experience, although that experience is preferred. Candidates must complete all evaluations through Manager in Training before becoming a store manager. Training and orientation are provided on the job. General Managers may receive monthly bonuses if criteria and responsibilities are met; bonuses are not guaranteed. The position starts at minimum wage, with raises following completion of training evaluations. The stated Southern Oregon wage range is $15.55–$19.61. Newly hired General Managers qualify for medical, dental, and vision insurance upon hire, with those benefits available for use after 60 days of employment. Sick pay follows Oregon state requirements. The work includes operating store equipment, stocking and preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning the equipment and facility. It can involve standing for most tasks, lifting and carrying supplies, repetitive hand work, and exposure to hot equipment, food odors, cornmeal dust, cold storage areas, and changing weather conditions during outside tasks. Team members may need to work alone or with others, direct activities, work under stress, meet quality standards, and step in to perform any work that needs to be done.
