About The Position

General Manager is the senior business leader in the cafe responsible for upholding all brand standards and core values, while meeting or exceeding Hard Rock’s business objectives. Responsible for asset management of the entire facility, the General Manager is expected to demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to identifying and acting on opportunities and challenges to maximize the business’ full potential in the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry inclusive of restaurant front line operations.
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Proficient in MS Office Computer applications.
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to address stressful situation with guests with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of management of a high-volume restaurant, bar, or similar business.
  • Knowledge of standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
  • Knowledge of applicable computer systems.
  • Knowledge of various positions within the restaurant, e.g., host/hostess, dining room attendant, waitperson, etc.
  • Knowledge of service, service etiquette, and standard service practices for full-service restaurants.
  • Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively pitch and present information in one-on-one and group situations to media, customers, clients, partners and other employees of the organization.
  • Genuinely and enthusiastically have an aptitude for serving people.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills through ability to diagnose and implement solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or Culinary preferred.
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
