Reno - General Manager
About The Position
My client is looking for a General Manager to lead their Reno restoration operation. This role offers full ownership of operations, team leadership, project delivery, and financial performance within an established market with growth potential. The company is an owner-operated restoration business backed by a large network of offices, providing proven systems and capital. The ideal candidate will think and act like an owner, taking pride in building a successful operation and making a positive impact on the community by helping families and businesses recover from disasters.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a restoration industry leadership role, recent within the last 3 to 5 years
- Proven track record running or leading a restoration operation with P&L accountability
- Deep understanding of insurance claim work and restoration workflows across mitigation and reconstruction
- Experience managing teams of 15+ in a production-oriented environment
- Strong operational discipline and financial fluency
- Self-starter who can operate autonomously and drive results
Nice To Haves
- Prior GM or Branch Manager experience in a restoration operation of $5M+ revenue
- Reno-area market knowledge and industry relationships
- Experience rebuilding or turning around an underperforming operation
- IICRC certifications
- Familiarity with Xactimate, DASH, or comparable RMS platforms
Responsibilities
- Own the operational performance of the Reno market with a clear path for meaningful growth
- Manage and develop the team across mitigation, reconstruction, project management, and administration
- Drive profitability through operational efficiency, project delivery, and quality control
- Partner with the sales leader to align operational capacity with revenue growth
- Own project delivery from job intake through close-out, including customer satisfaction
- Build and mentor mid-level leaders into the next generation of managers
- Manage financial performance including budgets, AR, cash flow, and margin discipline
- Ensure compliance with restoration industry standards and insurance carrier requirements
- Represent the company in the Reno market through industry involvement and relationship building
