General Manager - Seniors Services
About The Position
Sodexo is seeking a General Manager to support our dining services at one of our seniors/healthcare clients in the Concord, CA market. We are seeking a talented individual who will commit to the challenges of creating and delivering an operational-culinary-driven upscale dining experience. This is a hands-on, working manager's role requiring previous experience managing upscale food production, with retail and/or restaurant upscale full service management experience preferred. Requirements
- Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
- Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years
- Passion for high-level customer service and culinary arts, with a strong culinary production background, ideally in a healthcare or retail setting
- Able to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo
- Demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset
- Hands-on, and have an innovative leadership approach to management
- Able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Possess strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget
- Experts in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience managing upscale food production
- Retail and/or restaurant upscale full service management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Have oversight of day-to-day dining and culinary operations
- Control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved
- Ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved
- Provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed
