About The Position

Responsible for the daily operation of the Room Service department, managing the annual budget, and leading the unit in all forecasting and cost controls to meet financial goals. This role involves handling Team Member and Guest opportunities, evaluating and overseeing job performance of Team Members, setting schedules and specific job duties while maintaining Team Member hours for proper staffing according to established service standards. The General Manager will collaborate with the Management Team to control costs, communicate consistently with all managers regarding room activities, and hold daily huddles with Team Members to share pertinent information. The position is also responsible for participating in the creation of annual budgets and managing the unit to meet or exceed operating financial potentials and goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management.
  • Comprehensive food, wine, spirits and beverage knowledge.
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment in decision making.
  • Comprehensive food knowledge, including profit and loss statements, cost control, menu planning, budgeting, training, inventory control and sanitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Some culinary background or experience preferred.
  • Experience as a restaurant Manager or as an Assistant with P&L responsibility preferred.
