About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising and planning the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment/processes required by the Processing Maintenance and Refrigeration departments. This includes directing, coordinating and supporting maintenance supervisors and personnel; working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment, troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment/processes. Other responsibilities include: coordinating/maintaining the maintenance training program for maintenance Team Members; assisting in preparing and overseeing budgets; coordinating Team Member work schedules and ensuring all parts and assets necessary to perform maintenance are available and maintained; providing information for managerial decision making; perform other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses.
  • Three (3) years of Maintenance Supervision.
  • Familiar with PSM and RMP programs.
  • Must be able to pass a level four (4) hazmat physical.
  • Competent computer skills to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office; data entry; creating simple queries; ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system.
  • Leadership ability; able to delegate and follow-up well; ensure completion dates are met.
  • Considerable knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, refrigeration, and maintenance training skills.
  • Display sound judgment; make sound decisions; organizational skills; ability to accept and delegate responsibility.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Tyson Boiler license preferred but not required.
