About The Position

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 4, Food, to lead dining operations at Simpson Meadows in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. This community serves 150 residents and includes a restaurant-style dining room, a cafe with retail concepts, and a casual dining room. The General Manager will report to the District Manager and oversee a team of two managers and approximately 25 hourly staff. The role involves full oversight of daily dining operations, ensuring high food quality, service standards, and a positive dining experience for residents.

Requirements

Five or more years of previous food service management experience at a director/general manager level
Ideally in a healthcare environment
A culinary background
Knowledge of special diets
A work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills
A passion for a high level of customer service
Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC)
Proficient in computer skills and report management experience
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years
