About The Position

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a General Manager 3, Food, to lead dining operations at Birmingham Green in Manassas, Virginia. This community serves approximately 300 residents in assisted living and skilled nursing, offering dining room service and in-room tray service. The General Manager will be hands-on, leading a team of one manager and about 30 hourly staff. Key responsibilities include full oversight of daily food service operations, ensuring high food quality, service standards, and a positive dining experience for residents. A Dietary Manager Certification (CDM) is required or must be obtained within one year.

Requirements

Three or more years of previous food service management experience at a director/general manager level, ideally in a healthcare environment
A dietary manager's certification (CDM) or equivalent is needed or must be willing to obtain within one year
Demonstrated strong leadership and hospitality skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills
Passion for a high level of customer service
Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC)
Proficient in computer skills and report management experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years
