About The Position

This position oversees a comprehensive campus dining program at a public arts institution offering high school, undergraduate, and graduate-level training in performing, visual, and media arts. The dining operation includes a resident dining hall, coffee shop, multiple retail locations, a convenience store, catering services, and vending within the campus residential community. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality food service, strong financial performance, and an exceptional experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of strong employee engagement
• Prior supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
• Culinary production knowledge and strong safety/sanitation compliance background
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally
• Commitment to high-level customer service
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Working knowledge of food management systems and proficiency with reporting and computer applications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• Minimum 5 years of functional experience in food service operations
