About The Position

This position oversees a comprehensive campus dining program at a public arts institution offering high school, undergraduate, and graduate-level training in performing, visual, and media arts. The dining operation includes a resident dining hall, coffee shop, multiple retail locations, a convenience store, catering services, and vending within the campus residential community. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring high‑quality food service, strong financial performance, and an exceptional experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of strong employee engagement
• Prior supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
• Culinary production knowledge and strong safety/sanitation compliance background
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally
• Commitment to high‑level customer service
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
• Working knowledge of food management systems and proficiency with reporting and computer applications
• Valid Driver’s License
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• Minimum 5 years of functional experience in food service operations
