About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 to lead dining operations for West Warwick Public Schools, a long-standing K-12 partnership in central Rhode Island. This role oversees a comprehensive child nutrition program serving the district through the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs, Summer Food Service Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Dinner Program, and the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership focused on food safety, financial performance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and fostering healthy food choices that support student success. Requirements

  • Ability to direct other leaders in a high-volume business
  • Strong financial acumen, and P&L background
  • Experience driving employee engagement and student satisfaction through strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of client contracts and ability to ensure compliance
  • Can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day management of food service operations across the school district, ensuring exceptional service and program compliance
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and achieving operational targets
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations, federal and state nutrition requirements, food safety standards, and Sodexo policies
  • Develop, coach, and engage frontline managers and employees to build a strong, service-focused team culture
  • Foster positive partnerships with district administrators, staff, students, families, and community stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and student participation
