About The Position

Thermo Fisher Scientific's General Management (GM) Summer Associate program is a 10-week position designed to identify and develop future leadership talent. This program serves as a strategic pipeline for the full-time General Management Graduate Leadership Development Program (GM GLDP). Participants will engage in projects of significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business. The role requires geographic flexibility and mobility for both the summer assignment and potential future placements within the GM GLDP. Onsite and in-office work is an essential function of this role.

Requirements

  • MBA student completing degree between December 2027 – June 2028.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience post-Undergraduate degree, ideally in large, forward-thinking, global organizations.
  • Experience in Life Sciences or STEM-related industry.
  • 1+ years of experience managing direct reports.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of influencing others, leading initiatives, driving results, and creating positive impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
  • Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance.
  • Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and an innovative mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Geographic mobility and flexibility.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.
  • Not eligible for F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.
