Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff
Building engineering/maintenance experience
2+ years hotel engineering/maintenance experience
Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection to include; reporting of maintenance discrepancies
1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience required
Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds
Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and be able to move about the property
Valid driver's license required
Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provide including; proper labeling procedures

Hospitality experience desired

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain all hotel equipment and systems as directed by the needs of the guests and staff
Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
Provide preventive maintenance
Perform duties independently when appropriate
Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment
Report any areas that need repair to include safety concerns
Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer
