About The Position

This role is responsible for the general maintenance of the hatchery, ensuring all equipment is in safe and proper working order. Key duties include performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and managing parts inventory to minimize downtime. The position also involves ensuring safety protocols are followed, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures and the proper functioning of emergency equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of LOCK OUT TAG OUT procedures.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
• Understanding of emergency light operation.
• Ability to ensure proper and safe operation of equipment.
• Skills in maintaining tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform timely and efficient repairs.
• Experience with preventative maintenance (PMs) on machines and equipment.
• Ability to maintain parts inventory.
• Skills in changing filters and cleaning HVAC units.

Responsibilities

• Follow all LOCK OUT TAG OUT procedures.
• Wear all personal protective equipment as needed.
• Ensure operation of Emergency lights.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of equipment by all employees.
• Maintain tools and equipment to be at the ready for when equipment breaks down.
• Perform timely and efficient repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform proper PM’s as scheduled on all machines and equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory to prevent lengthy breakdowns.
• Keep filters changed in HVAC units and units cleaned.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
