Cooke Aquaculture has an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s Freshwater Maintenance Team located in Bingham, Maine. Cooke is a global seafood company with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Hatchery Maintenance Supervisor to our team of professionals.
Requirements
- Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and determine how to correct them
- Ability to maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
- May obtain quotes for equipment, maintenance supplies and parts for repair and place orders for them
- Ability to work with little or no supervision at times
- Able to plan-ahead and to keep maintenance supplies on hand to enable work to be carried out in an efficient manner
- Comply with all internal policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on Bingham Hatchery equipment
- Installs new equipment
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and contractors
- Assist with day-to-day facility procedures related to water quality and ensuring fish welfare is always met
