About The Position

As the Maintenance Mechanic at Monroe Regional Hospital, you will repair, install, and maintain assigned mechanical systems and equipment in good condition. You will assist with troubleshooting, repairs, construction, and installation of building systems, equipment, and fixtures, as well as perform preventive maintenance and general repairs to equipment and facilities. The role includes keeping supervision informed about assigned work, documenting work, ordering parts, and making emergency building-system repairs during single-coverage shifts. Requirements

High school graduate.
Skills and abilities in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Nice To Haves

Three years of general maintenance experience with proven competency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and carpentry.
Boiler operator license.
Must obtain a High-Pressure Boiler Operator License within 2½ years of hire if assigned to the boiler house.

Responsibilities

Keep supervision informed of problems, conditions, and the status of assigned work.
Make emergency repairs to building systems while working single-coverage shifts.
Document work performed.
Assist maintenance mechanics and skilled tradespeople with troubleshooting, repair, construction, and installation of building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Perform and assist with preventive maintenance, including checking oil levels, belts, temperatures, fluid levels, and air pressures; cleaning equipment; and changing filters.
Repair equipment and facilities, including beds, light bulbs, painting, grounds, drains, and other general maintenance needs.
Move furniture and equipment when assigned.
Investigate, identify, and repair minor equipment and utility malfunctions.
Order parts needed to complete assigned work orders.
