Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff.
  • Building engineering/maintenance experience, 2+ years hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection to include; reporting of maintenance discrepancies.
  • 1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience required
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds.
  • Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and be able to move about the property.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience desired
  • Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provide including; proper labeling procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all hotel equipment and systems as directed by the needs of the guests and staff
  • Work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts as required.
  • Arrive to work on time, consistently.
  • Arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair upon entering the property.
  • Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
  • Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical electrical and plumbing problems.
  • Interact positively with guest and fellow employees.
  • Perform duties independently when appropriate.
  • Provide preventive maintenance when appropriate.
  • Access high areas utilizing a ladder.
  • Follow all company safety rules/guidelines and work in a safe manner.
  • Report any areas that need repair to include safety concerns.
  • Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.
