About The Position

Sterling Automotive Group is hiring a General Maintenance Technician to help keep our dealerships running safely, efficiently, and looking their best. This is a hands-on, multi-location role supporting our stores in Lafayette, Broussard, Maurice, Opelousas, and Jennings. If you like staying busy, working outdoors, and fixing things the right way, this is a great fit.

Requirements

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or hands-on trade work
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to use tools and equipment safely (hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must meet driving eligibility requirements (21+ or 3+ years driving experience)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain dealership grounds including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping
• Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, outlets, and lighting
• Complete routine preventative maintenance across multiple locations
• Replace air filters, light bulbs, and handle minor facility repairs and light paint jobs
• Support seasonal and exterior upkeep (storm cleanup, pressure washing, etc.)
• Travel between dealership locations as needed using company vehicle
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and up to company standards
