About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker in Miami, FL, is responsible for performing repairs, preventive, and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment, including pumps, blowers, and motors. This role involves maintaining electrical controls, facilities, and interior and exterior lighting. The worker will execute work orders on the facility's buildings and grounds, make equipment adjustments, and report serious equipment problems using the M plus computer system. Key duties also include maintaining computerized and manual records, preparing reports related to daily work orders, and coordinating the work of outside maintenance contractors as needed. The position requires strict adherence to the Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. The General Maintenance Worker will also assist with operational tasks as directed by a supervisor and perform other related functions as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical operations, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment in assigned work area.
• Knowledge of proper operation of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations. OSHA 10
• Effectively and safely operates hand tools, pneumatic tools, air compressors and other small equipment related to the maintenance trades.
• Hands-on experience in light duty electrical power systems (240 V/ single and three phase) and instrumentation calibration and use
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years’ experience in the maintenance field
• Must possess a valid, active state driver’s license.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks
• Applicant must receive favorable background and drug screen results and meet eligibility requirements for access to government computer systems and or facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment including; pumps, blowers, and motors
• Maintains pumps, electrical controls and related components, facilities and related equipment, and interior and exterior Lighting
• Performs work orders on facility’s buildings and grounds as required
• Makes equipment adjustments, and reports any serious equipment problems as PM’s in the M plus computer system
• Maintains computerized and manual records and prepares reports pertaining to the operation of the daily work orders, and makes changes as required to meet operating requirements.
• Identifies, schedules and coordinates the work of outside maintenance contractors in support of the facility(s) as needed.
• Follows Company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies. Wear and work in proper personal protective equipment.
• Assists with operational tasks in conjunction with operation or as directed by supervisor
• Performs other related functions assigned, as they become apparent, or as management assigns
