General Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The General Maintenance Technician helps ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment at Omni Mount Washington Resort & Spa. The role maintains mechanical items in guest rooms, public areas, and throughout the property; responds to house calls received by phone or radio; and assists engineers and mechanics with repairs. The technician cleans work areas after completing jobs, fills out daily work forms, follows Omni fire alarm and emergency procedures and hotel rules, and maintains property pools as directed by the CPO. Other special projects may be assigned by the supervisor. The position works both inside all areas of the hotel and outside, with exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, weather conditions, and hazardous chemicals. Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

- Receive direction for house calls via phone or radio.
- Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.
- Clean work areas after completing jobs.
- Fill out the Daily Work form.
- Understand and follow Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergency procedures.
- Understand Omni Hotel rules and regulations.
- Maintain mechanical systems throughout the property.
- Maintain property pools as directed by the CPO.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
