About The Position
The General Maintenance Tech will help keep Natchez Landing, an 81-unit apartment community in Metairie, Louisiana, running smoothly and provide excellent service to residents. The role involves routine apartment maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, completing work orders, preparing units for new residents, and maintaining records. Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily or residential setting.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Tools and reliable transportation; assistance with purchasing tools may be available if needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance in residents’ apartments.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
- Complete work orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
- Perform unit turnovers and make-readies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency.
- Perform grounds maintenance as required by the needs of the apartment community.
