About The Position

Fox Cities Builders is looking for a General Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. This role is for a hands-on problem solver who loves working with vehicles, tools, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys variety in their day, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

Requirements

Mechanically minded go-getter who loves solving problems.
Skilled in automotive, diesel, or small-engine repair (or eager to learn more!).
Organized and safety-focused.
A true team player with a “get it done” attitude.
Strong mechanical skills with experience in vehicle and equipment repair.
Ability to use power and hand tools confidently and safely.
Knowledge of aerial lifts, forklifts, and general mechanics.
Comfortable using laptops or tablets for maintenance logs, diagnostics, and repair documentation.
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to read service manuals, follow instructions, and communicate clearly in English.
Valid driver’s license required.
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Automotive certification preferred.
CDL-Class A and Fed Med Card (or ability to obtain within 3 months).

Responsibilities

Keep vehicles, trailers, and equipment in top-notch shape — from oil changes to major repairs.
Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Perform preventive maintenance to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Maintain and repair small engines, tools, and building systems.
Visit job sites for on-the-spot repairs and service calls.
Help create and improve standard operating procedures to keep the shop running like a well-oiled machine.
Work closely with the team to tackle the daily task list.
