About The Position
The General Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the preventative, routine and emergency service of the building’s electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
Requirements
- High degrees of mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency situation of service call
- Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2-way radio or pager system
- Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Five (5) years’ experience in a primary trade plus knowledge of various trades
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Blueprint and schematic reading skills required
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all work is completed and of superior craftsmanship
- Removes debris caused by work completed
- Maintains proper care and storage of tools and equipment
- Works closely with Lead to coordinate an efficient and safe work environment
- Performs other related general maintenance duties as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality of all Ocean Casino Resort Atlantic City proprietary information
