About The Position

Essential Job Functions: Routinely required to interact/communicate with diverse customers and respond to inquiries and complaints in a polite professional manner. Executes plumbing repairs that include but are not limited to faucets drains, sewers, commodes, flush valves, check valves, fountains, septic systems, irrigation tanks, etc. Executes HVAC repairs that include but are not limited to chillers, boilers, condensers, coils, filters, belts, exhaust fans, wall heaters, thermostats etc. Executes electrical repairs that include but are not limited to circuit breakers, switches, outlets, ballast, light fixtures, fuses, access control readers, gate operators, appliances, overhead door operators etc. Responsible for direction, oversight and when applicable training of assigned personnel. Utilizes company owned tools and equipment required of the position. Operates a company owned vehicle to assigned work locations. Responds to overtime needs as prescribed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and work area guidelines. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining any/all assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools. Responsible for maintaining and cleanliness of work areas, grounds, break rooms, kitchens, locker rooms, parking areas, etc. at all company locations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent or Two-year technical school certification
  • Five (5) years of experience in Facility maintenance or in a similar environment (i.e. construction trades)
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examination and obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate
  • Must successfully complete all applicable/required Maintenance Mechanic written and hands on training/testing
