About The Position

This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across company facilities. The mechanic will execute plumbing, HVAC, and electrical repairs, manage and train assigned personnel, and maintain company vehicles and work areas. The position requires interaction with diverse customers and adherence to safety protocols when working with equipment and hazardous materials.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent or Two-year technical school certification.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Facility maintenance or in a similar environment (i.e. construction trades).
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examination and obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate.
  • Must successfully complete all applicable/required Maintenance Mechanic written and hands on training/testing.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely interact/communicate with diverse customers and respond to inquiries and complaints in a polite professional manner.
  • Execute plumbing repairs including faucets, drains, sewers, commodes, flush valves, check valves, fountains, septic systems, and irrigation tanks.
  • Execute HVAC repairs including chillers, boilers, condensers, coils, filters, belts, exhaust fans, wall heaters, and thermostats.
  • Execute electrical repairs including circuit breakers, switches, outlets, ballasts, light fixtures, fuses, access control readers, gate operators, appliances, and overhead door operators.
  • Provide direction, oversight, and training to assigned personnel.
  • Utilize company-owned tools and equipment.
  • Operate a company-owned vehicle to assigned work locations.
  • Respond to overtime needs as prescribed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and work area guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Maintain and clean work areas, grounds, break rooms, kitchens, locker rooms, and parking areas at all company locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
