General Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic provides essential mechanical support for building facilities, ensuring smooth operations and optimal building performance. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills to maintain JLL's high standards of facility management. You'll be at the forefront of keeping our buildings running efficiently through mechanical system troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and general repairs. Your work directly contributes to creating safe, functional environments for our clients and their occupants, supporting JLL's commitment to operational excellence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid state driver's license
- 2 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, and basic plumbing and electrical
- Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including working from ladders/lifts

Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical system troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate reliably and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Conduct general interior maintenance including hanging pictures, wall repair, and painting to maintain building aesthetics and functionality
- Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts throughout the facility
- Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance and repairs
- Perform minor plumbing repairs and move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested
- Execute special tasks including welding and general maintenance projects
- Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas while recognizing danger and safety hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them
- Comply with all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
