About The Position
Black & McDonald’s Facilities Management team is growing! If you are committed and collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you. The General Maintenance Labourer is located in Toronto, ON and typically reports directly to the Facility Manager. Their primary focus is general building maintenance.
Requirements
- 1 – 5 years in general building repairs
- General building maintenance aptitude
- Focused on the safe execution of work tasks and operations
- Due to many mandatory vaccination requirements at client projects / facilities, in order to provide substantial employment by ensuring compliance with our client’s mandates, the successful candidate will be required to validate full vaccination prior to hire.
- Bending and lifting required; lifting under 30 kg
- Ability to climb stairs and work on a ladder, lift equipment, or scaffold as required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain necessary security clearances
Nice To Haves
- warehouse experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Using hand and power tools
- Patching and Painting
- Lifting and Moving equipment
- Power washing and other cleaning
- Warehouse rack inspections and repairs
- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance duties associated with building systems
- Provide vacation coverage for other operators
