The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing a variety of physical tasks to support daily operations. Responsibilities include site maintenance, equipment support, and assisting skilled trades or operators as needed. At GFL, the goal is to invest in people and provide opportunities to grow, for life. Requirements

  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to manually lift and move up to 65 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to push or move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and standing for long periods.
  • Strong work ethic, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a skid steer or similar small machinery is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, sweeping, pressure washing.
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventative maintenance on tractor-trailers.
  • Operate general site vehicles such as pickup trucks.
  • Work in strict accordance with company safety policies and provincial/federal health and safety regulations.
  • Perform minor repairs and general maintenance, including painting, janitorial tasks, and basic office repairs.
  • Load, unload, and move materials manually or with the assistance of basic tools.
  • Cross-train to assist with parts and service coverage.
  • Provide general support to senior staff and perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure project deadlines are met.
