About The Position
STS Aerospace (Kreisler) in Elmwood Park, New Jersey is seeking Manufacturing Assemblers/Machine Operators. The employee uses equipment and hand tools to shape and size tubing and sheet-metal assemblies, with assemblies sized using a fixture or jig. The position involves following work instructions, inspecting and cleaning parts, maintaining tools and equipment, recording production, meeting production rates, and working collaboratively with the team.

Responsibilities
- Read and follow instructions to perform jobs correctly.
- Take notes and refer to them when completing jobs.
- Inspect parts to ensure they are not damaged and are not damaged during processing.
- Keep tools, fixtures, and work areas clean and organized.
- Sweep, clean, and perform required daily or weekly maintenance on certain equipment.
- Shape and form tubes or sheet-metal components using hand tools such as a vise, hammer, or bar.
- Ask questions when unsure how to perform a job or when a problem occurs.
- Track and log production requirements.
- Meet production rates established by the production team, such as cuts per hour.
- Assist other team members as needed to achieve team goals.
- Solve problems or offer solutions when they arise.
- Clean parts according to procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team and be helpful and courteous to others.
