About The Position

As the General Litigation & Worker's Compensation Attorney, you will work with the Chief Legal Officer to manage caseloads involving workers' compensation matters, working cases from beginning to end. This role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial and civil/insurance defense litigation. You will independently manage your own caseload, handling all aspects of workers' compensation litigation, including taking depositions and making appearances. The position involves assuming responsibility for cases at all levels of complexity, developing and enacting strategies for efficient resolution, and negotiating and settling cases. You will also be responsible for drafting pleadings, reports, and other necessary legal documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience including heavy emphasis in worker’s compensation law and commercial liability.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Candidates must be licensed to practice law in a US state.
  • Must meet I-9 requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
