About The Position
The Metal Door/Storefront Assembler is focused on the general assembly of doors/framing using hand, power tools and fabrication equipment, while producing a high-end product safely and reports to the Fabrication Lead Hand. This role is perfect for an individual who pays attention to details, a team player, and loves to build. A vital member of the Fabrication Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Requirements
- Experience reading and understanding fabrication drawings.
- Experience using powered industrial tools and taking precise measurements.
- Regular and predictable attendance; safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
- Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands.
- Possess organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform work as assigned by Lead Hand in a timely manner.
- By referring to the fabrication package, locate specific product in the facility, assemble per instructions.
- Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others.
- Recognize product defects and notify management team immediately of any issues.
- Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels.
