About The Position
McGill Compost is hiring a General Laborer for our facility in Morrisville, PA. This role is for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right. The General Laborer plays an important role in supporting daily composting, production, and site operations. This is a physically active position where reliability, teamwork, safety, and a strong work ethic are critical to success. Every day, your efforts help support the production of high-quality compost and soil products that benefit agriculture, landscaping, and the environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to work safely in an outdoor industrial environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in composting, landscaping, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial operations
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor duties throughout the facility and compost site
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Remove debris and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the site
- Support equipment operators and production personnel as needed
- Assist with compost production and processing activities
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
