About The Position

McGill Environmental Systems is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our New Hill, NC facility. This role is crucial in transforming organic waste into high-quality compost, mulch, and soil products. The operator will safely operate heavy equipment to move, process, blend, screen, and transport materials while maintaining production, safety, and quality standards. This is hands-on work for someone who takes pride in operating equipment efficiently, working safely, and contributing to a team environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Experience operating Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, or similar heavy equipment
Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Reliable transportation to the Morrisville, PA facility
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Dependable attendance and work ethic

Candidates must be flexible, as occasional Saturdays, overtime, and schedule adjustments may be required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Operate Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steers, Backhoes, Grinders, Screeners, and other heavy equipment
Load trucks and transport materials throughout the facility
Perform blending and material processing operations
Conduct daily safety inspections and equipment checks
Identify and report equipment issues requiring maintenance
Support production goals while maintaining product quality standards
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
Participate in safety meetings and training programs
Maintain a productive and efficient workflow
