About The Position

The Entry General Laborer piles boards in carts and marks odd lengths. This is an on-site position; attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities. Collins is a family-owned producer of softwood and hardwood products, with facilities in Chester, California; Lakeview, Oregon; and Kane, Pennsylvania. The company also operates Builders Supply, a retail hardware and building materials store in Chester, and practices sustainable forest management across 370,000 acres of FSC®-certified lands in California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to follow all company, state, and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety standards at all times and correct or report observed safety hazards.
• Push out partial and full carts of lumber as instructed by the supervisor.
• Assist with banding when needed.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor.
• Pile boards in carts and mark odd lengths.
