About The Position

The General Laborer supports dismantling and production processes in the yard. The role helps ensure work sites are safe, organized, and efficient by assisting skilled dismantlers and keeping materials and tools available. It requires a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions accurately to meet deadlines, while contributing to a productive, collaborative work environment. This is a part-time position of less than 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Work is performed outside in all weather and includes physically demanding tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather.
Basic understanding of safety practices in a dismantling and recycling environment.
Physical stamina and strength for lifting and moving materials.
Attention to detail to follow safety protocols and keep the work environment organized and hazard-free.
Communication skills to work with a team and follow supervisors’ instructions.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a labor-intensive role or construction environment.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
Certification in safety training or first aid.
Forklift certification and experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up and cleaning job sites, keeping materials and tools organized and accessible.
Lift, carry, and move materials to support dismantlers and production tasks.
Safely use a forklift to move parts and/or vehicles in the yard or warehouse.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
Operate basic hand tools and power tools under the supervision of experienced workers.
Communicate with team members to help complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
