About The Position

Ferrellgas is hiring a part-time Material Handler to work primarily outdoors on the dock. The role involves inspecting, filling, loading, and unloading propane cylinders and tanks for delivery drivers and customers. This hands-on, physical position supports safe, smooth operations and includes maintaining the quality and appearance of propane equipment and work areas, as well as assisting customers. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and excellent customer service.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
• Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience preferred; training is provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and load propane cylinders and tanks.
• Fill customer cylinders at the dock when applicable.
• Scrape and paint tanks and cylinders as needed to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Keep the yard, plant, and office areas clean and professional in appearance.
• Answer customer questions and share product and service information.
