About The Position

General Laborers are sought to support a crew of specialty painters on a commercial construction project in Sterling, Virginia. The role involves moving and staging materials, masking and protecting surfaces before spraying, and keeping the job site clean. Candidates should be dependable, punctual, able to follow instructions, and committed to working safely. This is a full-time, project-based position estimated to last 2–3 months, with a stated expected start date of November 16. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime may be required based on project needs. The position pays $20 per hour and is classified as non-exempt, hourly.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have reliable transportation to Sterling, Virginia.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Be able to wear a respirator if required; medical evaluation and fit test are provided.
• Demonstrate strong attendance and reliability.
• Be able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction or general labor experience.
• OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Move and stage materials for the spray crew.
• Mask and protect surfaces before spraying.
• Clean work areas and remove debris throughout the shift.
• Follow supervisors’ instructions to complete manual labor tasks.
• Follow site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Promptly report unsafe conditions and job site hazards to the supervisor.
