About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking Laborers at Surry Power Station in Surry, Virginia. The role performs housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside the power station, including in varying weather conditions. Work is primarily Monday through Friday during the day, but the position requires availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and outages as station needs dictate. The selected candidate must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, and must be eligible to receive and retain a nuclear clearance for access to company facilities. Visa or employment authorization sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and outages when station needs dictate.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation covering DMV records, criminal history, prior employment, and education records.
• Eligibility to receive and retain a nuclear clearance for facility access.

Nice To Haves

• Previous nuclear experience.
• Experience in a craft such as mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation and controls (I&C).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Bobcats and forklifts.
• CDL Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleanup and housekeeping inside and outside the power station.
• Scrub and wax floors and clean various areas of the plant.
• Assist with outdoor duties such as lawn maintenance and snow removal.
• Serve on fire or flood watch assignments.
• Support station operations as needed, including work requiring a respirator or work in confined spaces.
• Assist all departments with daily physical labor duties and help keep the power station neat and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
