General Laborer - Redemption Center
About The Position
Speedy is hiring a dedicated, reliable general laborer to join our growing team at the Speedy Redemption Center in Topsham, ME. This position is a blend of General Labor and Customer Service, you will be interacting with customers as they drop off and redeem their recyclable beverages at our facility. Requirements
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written, sufficient to perform the job and communicate mechanical maintenance needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Stand for an extended time period.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to use computers and other technical systems.
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in a warehouse or production environment is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the receipt and processing of containers returned by customers.
- Receive, clean, and stack beverage container Collapsible bins using both manual and power equipment.
- Operate machinery designed to sort, count, and compact empty beverage containers.
- Clean and maintain sorting areas.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
- Safety first.
- Arrive to the facility on time and ready to work.
