About The Position

The General Laborer works as part of a team supporting a manufacturing operation, with the goal of increasing productivity and decreasing downtime and waste. The role assists with plant-floor jobs and plant- and facilities-related work, follows company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures, and maintains the shop and equipment according to 5S Standards. The position may require stacking parts weighing up to 30 pounds for periods of up to 12 hours.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Be willing to work the first and second shift.
• Have a good attendance record.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be willing to work closely with other production personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve important problems.
• Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
• Work with a sense of urgency to reduce machine downtime.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
