About The Position

The General Laborer follows job orders and schematics to gather materials, perform basic calculations, and carry out work using computers and hand or power tools. The role includes checking products and materials for safety, maintaining the workstation and general housekeeping, and collaborating with team members. Work is performed safely, with required personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures. Day-to-day direction is provided by a supervisor.

The position pays $20.00 per hour and works the first shift, from 4:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Forklift experience.
• Ability to work with products weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the day.
• Ability to occasionally push or pull 100 pounds.
• Comfort with kneeling, squatting, stooping, twisting, and sitting throughout the day.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Use computers to read order specifications, retrieve and update data, and maintain databases as needed.
• Follow job orders and schematics.
• Gather materials based on schematics.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Craft items and make basic repairs using hand tools and power tools, including a tape measure.
• Perform safety checks and assessments on products and materials.
• Maintain the workstation and general housekeeping.
• Support team members through collaboration and clear, concise communication.
• Wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.
