TYSON FOODS -VICKSBURG PLANT: 3rd Shift General Labor PR01
About The Position
The General Production Labor position provides hands-on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production-related tasks as assigned. This role supports product flow, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment. This is a 3rd shift position with a shift differential. Please note that at this time, the location is no longer accepting rehires for General Labor roles, and candidates who have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson affiliates one or more times will not be eligible for rehire.
Requirements
- MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
- MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
- Prior manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations
- Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging
- Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion
- Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly
- Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment
- Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements
- Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies
- Use required PPE and follow safe work practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work directly with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh product
- Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards
- Wear required PPE, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwear
- Work in temperature-controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions
