About The Position

This is an entry-level position that supports production by sweeping, cleaning and operating various pieces of equipment. The role involves continuous exposure to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions, work near moving parts/equipment, significant dust, and moderate to severe noise levels. Occasional exposure to manufacturing chemicals may occur. A valid Driver's License is required for insurance purposes. Management reserves the discretion to modify duties as needed. Requirements

A high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift experience; certification preferred.
Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process
Ability to pay attention to detail among constant distractions.
Ability to communicate concerns/problems to manager/supervisor on a professional level.
Continuously lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50-pounds; regularly lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 75-pounds.
Continuously shovel material.
Frequently stoop/crouch/bend/climb/push/pull objects to complete the essential functions of this position.
Vision sufficient to safely perform the essential job tasks.
Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

Clean-up left-over product around tanks and other equipment.
Operate forklift to support production on a daily basis.
Stack bags of product in a concise and consistent manner.
Cross-train with other departments to provide consistency throughout the Company.
Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
