About The Position
Performs a variety of operations in various areas to support the manufacturing operations of the lumber yard. Works at a fast pace and follows all safety policies and practices while working around heavy machinery including the lumber handling machine and forklifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Able to read a tape measure.
- Must have a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Chain saw, bander, band cutters, stapler are a plus
- Forklift license a plus
Responsibilities
- Stacks lumber in pile down according to specie, grade and length by reading markings on board, following verbal instructions, or tag/orders.
- Assists in banding operations.
- Assists maintenance department with painting, cleaning of machines, floors, yard work, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
