About The Position
This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position is at a meat processing facility. Team members may work in any department, including sanitizing equipment, while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Available labor roles may include Extended Run, Labeling, Packing, Racker, Sanitation, Stocking, Trash Collector, Trimming, Unracking, and Washer. Placement and pay leveling depend on the availability of relevant labor-level jobs. The position is on third shift in Zeeland, Michigan. Starting pay is $21.45 per hour, with a $1 per hour third-shift premium. Benefits are effective on Day 1.
Requirements
- Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach as required.
- Be able to stand for 8–10 hours on hard floors.
- Be able to perform repetitive motions as required in many areas.
- Be able to work in a cold environment in the mid-30s Fahrenheit, a damp environment, and on slippery walking surfaces.

- Perform entry-level general labor duties in any department of the meat processing facility.
- Sanitize equipment as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Perform duties associated with available roles, which may include Extended Run, Labeling, Packing, Racker, Sanitation, Stocking, Trash Collector, Trimming, Unracking, and Washer.
