About The Position

TemperPack is seeking a Full-Time General Labor Operator for the 3rd shift (Night Shift) at their Lansing, MI facility. This role is responsible for operating production machinery, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the manufacturing of innovative sustainable packaging solutions. Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to be on your feet for 10-12 hours a day.
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
Ability to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent and ongoing basis.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a production environment.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Running production and following safety rules/procedures.
Keeping up with the flow of production and minimizing downtime.
Using band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
Building boxes with the use of a tape gun and staple gun.
Assisting with inventory at the end of the month.
Ensuring area safety and housekeeping.
Contributing to continuous process improvement to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications.
Applying basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and common sense understanding to follow instructions.
