About The Position

H.C. Muddox joined Pacific Coast Building Products in 1980 and now supplies a large distributor network with clay products that include standard face brick, thin brick, flue liners, pavers, pool coping, and structural brick. H.C. Muddox also offers custom shapes, sizes and colors in a range of products. This position supports the Brick Manufacturing Department in all areas of production and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Prior labor experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
Basic reading and math skills.
Ability to communicate with peers, customers and supervisors.
Requires on the job training to perform essential duties assigned.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a forklift is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Sets green brick and flue lining in the manner specified.
Unloads fired brick and flue lining from kiln car.
Examines brick for imperfections such as cracks, chips and color.
Manually places brick that passes inspection on conveyer belt.
Maintains work area per company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.
