About The Position

The General Helper safely performs a range of manufacturing tasks, including quality checks, material setup, assisting crew members, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The role helps operate machinery and supports production goals while following plant safety, environmental, confidentiality, and privacy requirements. Duties and assignments may change based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good computer skills, including the ability to track inventory using a computer.
• Ability to communicate with team members and follow safety regulations.
• Team-oriented, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask amid frequently changing priorities.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use a wrench.
• Ability to meet company quality and performance standards for the job.
• Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting, walking, climbing, pushing, twisting, stopping, and pulling.
• Ability to work in hot, humid, cold, wet, and noisy industrial conditions, in confined spaces, and at heights.
• Ability to work in a tobacco-free environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to operate a fork truck and/or clamp truck.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and check the equipment and supplies needed for scheduled work.
• Prepare for operations and check for or complete necessary work left from the previous shift.
• Clean the work area throughout the shift, secure equipment and machinery, and complete required paperwork.
• Help operate machinery and assist with machinery operations during upset conditions.
• Help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and job performance goals.
• Assist crew members and work as part of a team.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain, create, and control personally identifiable or other protected information in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Complete special projects and assignments as business needs dictate.
