About The Position

The General Helper is responsible for packaging product in a timely and accurate manner, tracking product to eliminate out-of-spec items, and assisting with tracking, bagging, and labeling. This role also involves performing pan dumping without damaging product, following all company and plant guidelines, and adhering to safety and food safety policies. The position requires reporting any safety incidents or food safety concerns to supervisors immediately. Additionally, the helper may assist other departments, participate in plant audit and inspection preparation, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to push or pull up to 200 pounds on wheeled equipment
• Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, reaching
• Ability to stand for majority of shift
• Ability to read/write in English
• Ability to work in high ambient temperatures

Nice To Haves

• Six (6) months food manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform bagging of product in a timely and accurate manner

• Follow all company guidelines
• Follow all plant and corporate safety and food safety policies and procedures
• Report safety incident to supervisor/management immediately
• Report food safety concerns to supervisor/management immediately
• Assist other departments as needed
• Participate in plant audit and inspection preparation
• Other duties as assigned
