About The Position
Metals USA has an immediate opening for a Helper in the Tulsa, OK location. The Helper performs an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming material, picking and filling orders from inventory and managing, organizing and retrieving inventory in the warehouse.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
- Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read instructions, tickets, safety and policies manuals)
- Proficient measuring skills and the ability to read measuring tapes, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to read and interpret documents furnished
- Overhead Crane/forklift experience required
- Detail Oriented with ability to inspect material for quality
- Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment preferred
Responsibilities
- Receives, places/returns items into stock inventory locations.
- Tags materials for proper identification.
- Pulls and assembles customer orders in order of delivery.
- Operates yard truck for the purpose of loading and unloading trailers.
- Operates cranes to load/unload trailers.
- Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers
- Secures loaded material into truck.
- Completes work order paperwork/documentation.
- Assures all machine operation centers are timely loaded with material for production.
- Restocks material
- Complies with company and OSHA safety policies and safe work practices.
